  • Love this game.. Here are my Update Ideas

Hey so i really liked this game and was thinking of ways it could be better here are my thoughts. (This is all my opinion i'm open to hear others suggestions)

    Co-op Missions -
The way i would suggest you do this:
    - Give co-op missions out from NPCs just like regular missions
    - Allow users to invite friends or find a random for co-op missions (so no one is isolated by not having friends that play like me lol)
    - Co-op missions would be harder of course (could include puzzles that require 2 people to coordinate to unlock secret chest routes)

    Character Customization
I think your current customization suite is fine maybe add some hairstyles and a barber shop to the hub. My real suggestions come with the mechanics of gear and weapons. The fact that we swap and sell them so quickly between missions doesn't give us time to really customize our character to the point you want to show off your new gear in the hub. For some this is what they will strive for because becoming most famous is very hard, showing off is much easier and keeps people coming back.

    Gear/Weapons
Give us more time to really customize our gear:
I've added stickers to some of my favorite guns only to find that i sold it because i had a more powerful shotgun in my inventory and i equipped my best gear. Really give us time to customize and give weapons and gear meaning. I dont remember the names of any of my guns because does it matter? im just going to sell it
    - Tweak the way guns are obtained to give them more meaning and value.
    - Let people stick to guns they like, i understand you want to give people a bit of variety but being stuck with a shotgun because you equipped best gear and spent all your in-game cash on skills sucks especially during Wargames and Campaign Missions

    Sound design
    - Add an option for more ambient, classical space sounding music. I feel as though sometimes the music in the game can come off like an action comic which i think suits the game in some ways but it would awesome to have a more sci-fi sound. Something like this maybe??: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcFvO6vGTX4

    Food/Drink
    - Why is this here and what does how this benefit us? Food should give us XP or something but you should only be able to eat a certain amount of food a day or something.

    Wargames
Fix the matchmaking for wargames its super hard to find a group of players for ascendancy.

    Conclusion
There are some obvious money grabs in the game which i understand, Its still a business but i think if you let users customize their gear more, give it more meaning, and allow people to grow fond of guns and gear.I think you'll find that people are willing to come back and spend real money on paint so they can deck their character out in solid gold, but i have to love my gear before i spend my money. Missions are dope.. they can feel a bit redundant but you all really designed the maps and levels well so they dont feel like your doing the same thing over and over, keep that up. Advertise this game so that more people play and fix the lobby system for wargames. I love the game ill keep playing on my Gamevice and awaiting updates.

    Cheers,
    Kels

I think Food and Drink is just for fun, its pretty fun to get wasted and stumble around a bit I know spending time in the bar ( and I believe casino as well ) will give your character temporary perks ( you can see them top left of the screen ).

Re: customizations, I understand what you're saying about constantly swapping gear to get the best, but once you reach 250 power, customization becomes more fun. You'll start collecting epic weapons and armor and start configuring more on looks/perks because you won't easily find legendaries to replace them like you do with uncommon/rare. Prior to 250 power + epics you're really just focused on leveling up and gaining more power. Once you get to 250 and start collecting epics you'll spend way more time trying to figure out which guns / armor / perks you like best.

Some additional co-op or pvp missions would be a welcome addition, I'd imagine they're already working on that.

Drinks are useful for quickly wiping off unwanted buffs. Just drink a couple of beers and the last buff u gained is gone. Be sure to chug a detox drink (or whatever it's called) right after.

Im almost level 20 now i believe thats the cap right? So hopefully soon ill get to 250 power. I've been focused on building up my skills for now and trying to make sure i always have some sort of AR. Ill take your word for it that customization is saved for long-term users. I also hope they increase the amount of people allowed in one hub lobby at a time as well.

Also need to try out getting drunk XD i had no clue food affected your character like that.

Overall the game is great, i hope they update frequently that could really make or break this game. They basically made Destiny on mobile !!

You're almost there, it took me 2 weeks from install to 250 grind, not bad for an online game. The epics accumulate quickly with arena runs, then it's just collecting until you get preferred type with perks you want. Use your best paints on the vanity gear since you can always wear it and use cheaper paints on the actual gear, this will help you looking stylish more often

Epics are hard to get, because online arenas either don't work (bad server problems at Madfinger) or NOONE is playing them. I've almost given up on multiplayer.

As for gear, Madfinger should emulate the Borderlands style. Sell/award basic "armour chassis" (similar, in use, to the power armour frames in Fallout 4, although aesthetically similar to, say, the grey entry level scout armour in Legends). Various levels of these will increase the overall "power" of the character (just as now), whereas individual, and extra, armour pieces (hat, front/back plates, legs, body and boots) would be sold. These could be either aesthetic, or have perks in them, depending on rarity. Another idea would be to use stickers as perks, so equipping certain combinations would create different perks. This would then give incentives to buy, collect and use stickers. Bonuses and/or mission/trophies could be awarded for getting "complete" sets (e.g., Samurai Red paint, Samurai chest, head, swords, full Ronin armour and all Samurai stickers, etc).

Paint and stickers could still be for each section (but hopefully for all sections and gear) but should be PERMANENT. This would encourage players to buy or win more paint, safe in the knowledge they can always use it (and thus it's a good investment). Currently, it's worthless (which is why I sold most of my stickers and paint).

While we are discussing stickers, why can't we have sponsor stickers? It would be another incentive to use sponsors. We could unlock a basic sticker while with a sponsor and then, after completing so many missions, it reaching a certain "sponsor level", get awarded a rare sponsor sticker. Sponsors could even have weapons or armour associated with them. Not only would this incentivise players to use sponsors, the game could feature in-game, real-world sponsors (Nvidia, etc), which is a way for Madfinger to include non-intrusive adverts into the game (and actually be things players WANT to collect). Also, as in real life, players can use sponsored paint schemes, stickers, etc to help them play, with richer players buying their own items.

Also, why not allow Guilds to use slightly custom stickers, featuring a limited set of "Guild Only" sticker images, palette swaps, fonts and three Guild name under/over/on the sticker image?

The full body chasis is a BAD idea...a HUGE draw of the game is the loot grind. Take this away and make the grind ONLY three guns and ONE armor and you will KILL 85-90% of the multiplayer play base. This is a mobile game...there isn't enough gameplay value to draw ENOUGH players....especially because of how HORRID....hooooorrid...arena, ascendancy, and dungeons all work right now.

I'm going to assume you're in US West territory? It's an easy assumption because the US West server is dead. I have gotten into ONE Wargames in 3 weeks. The only thing I'm told is "Look at us, we get into games fine." From devs in the livestream. Then "you'll have to wait until the next update.", which at the time meant over a months wait to play the game, from forum answers.

Game is still in BETA. Buggy mess that the US West gamer base laughed at and left a whole server dead in less than a month. Before the Craptastic 0.4.4 update that ruined the game I was queuing up with no problems. That broke squads, introduced game breaking bugs, and the US West market decided to play games that work that are out of BETA.

Yes...ermmm.....yes...aaaand...AhhhYUP. I was a wave 1 beta tester and from the first day of beta until official launch...the game worked LIGHT YEARS.....leaguessssssssss....better than currently. It's absolutely ridiculous and makes me wanna break my phone. I noticed also that in the last update....FRIGGIN EXTRA....EXXXXXTRAAAA....GRAPHICS AND "PAZZAZ" if you will....were..ADDED...to the already fragilely performing game. WHO ADDS MORE SHIT to bog down an already CRAPTASTIC functioning system?!?!?!?! I'm really at a loss at the moment...I 've spent money right after launch as the game was at least playable, now it is not and sure wish I could get that $ back...because I DO NOT support this crap.
It should be UNBEARABLY embarrassing...and a patch to undo or rework this "update," shoulda been launch 5 days ago.
30-45 minutes into logging into the game I am pondering what nasty crap I can sling at the devs on forums....I hate feeling that way lol...I hate it.
